Expanding the We
This is shorthand for one of Catholic Relief Services strategic themes. It suggests the importance CRS places on collaborating with other faith-based and secular organizations (including private, government, community, and intermediate entities) in recognition of the role they play in promoting justice and reconciliation, and of the fundamental values which are frequently shared by other faith and humanitarian traditions.
We seek to work with partners from individuals to officials and community groups, domestic and international - with whom we share a vision for addressing people's immediate needs and the underlying causes for suffering and injustice. In our relationships with these partners, CRS promotes openness and the sharing of perspectives and approaches and a commitment to listening to and learning from each other.
This public web site is devoted to listening to, sharing with and learning from groups and individuals who are working in areas of mutual concern such as MicroFinance, Community Health, HIV/AIDS, Education and others. To learn more about what CRS does throughout the world we invite you to visit our web public site at http://www.helpcrs.org/
The purpose of this site is to give expression to Expanding the We by creating a place where we can exchange information, share knowledge and learn from each other. This site is Under Construction and we invite you to help us build it!
We offer several tools to get this work started:
Forum we have created a space for practitioners to share information and experience through a bulletin board format. A Forum might bring together people who are working on a common problem or those who wish to share their knowledge on a development issue.
CRS e-Community we have created a space for practitioners to make contact with and share information on a “real time” basis.
We also invite you to read the Terms of Use.
